Escape Room Companion is designed for use inside escape room games to provide immersive, interactive puzzles and challenges. It turns a phone or tablet into an in-room game device with customisable apps, passcodes, AR, and voice features. The app is built to run locally on your device and does not require internet access during gameplay.

Escape Room Companion does not collect, store, or transmit personal or sensitive user data to external servers.

* Device identifiers

Any content you add (e.g., custom backgrounds, AR overlays, fake messages, passcodes, or voice notes) stays on the device and is fully managed by you.

The app is designed for **local use only** within your escape room environment. All puzzle features, passcodes, and media are stored and processed on the device itself. No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties.

Escape Room Companion may request access to your camera.

 

* The camera is used for **Augmented Reality (AR) overlays** to scan images or objects in your escape room and reveal virtual clues.

* Camera data is processed in real time on the device.

* Images and video are **not recorded, stored, or shared**.

### 4. Microphone Access

 

Escape Room Companion may request access to your microphone.

 

* The microphone is used for **Voice Notes**, allowing you to record and play audio clues or messages as part of your game.

* Recordings are stored only on the device and controlled by the escape room operator.

* Audio is **never transmitted or shared externally**.
